EuroApprentices ambassadors spreading a word about internationalization

EuroApprentices ambassadors are young people with Erasmus+ experience, either through work-based learning or studying abroad. They share their professional and personal experiences and participate in events at vocational schools. By sharing their stories, they motivate other students, companies, and providers to join Erasmus+.

The Finnish National Agency for Education coordinates EuroApprentices activities, where former vocational students meet, gain skills, and promote Erasmus+. Ambassadors receive certificates and expand their networks through international contacts and meetings.

Mercuria alumni Iida Virtanen as an ambassador

Mercuria alumni Iida Virtanen participated in the ambassador program and attended an international seminar held in Lyon, France. Through the program, she shared her experiences of vocational education with other students across Europe. Here she shares her journey of internationalization during her studies.

My name is Iida Virtanen, and I graduated with a qualification in business and administration from Mercuria Business School in Vantaa. During my studies, I wanted to gain international experience through Erasmus+ projects. I participated in project workshops in Germany and Spain. I completed several international internships, and these mobility periods enriched my professional skills and broadened my worldview. The international experience particularly enhanced my presentation and language skills, providing me with valuable experiences.

I want to encourage other students to participate in Erasmus+ projects and take a step towards international opportunities. The Erasmus+ program not only develops professional skills but also offers the chance to make new friendships and gather lifelong experiences.
